This Sunday, 19th May 2013, Students athletes have participated in the 9th International Peace Marathon organized by Rwanda Athletics Federation. The theme of this Marathon is " Sports as a pillar for Peace and Development". This Marathon was organized in three  categories which are half marathon 21 kilometers, full marathon 42 kilometers and Marathon for fun.

In partnership with Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, Chinese Academy of Science, INILAK organizes the 1st Conference on Environment, Energy and Development (ICEED 2013).

On 28th February 2013 six hundred and thirty-two students graduated in Rural Development, Information Systems and Management, Finance, Accounting, Marketing and Law from the  Institute of Lay Adventists of Kigali with a call from the Director-General of Education Planning in the Ministry of Education, Dr Erasme Rwanamiza, to Rwandan universities to observe education standards.
